So you want to start vaporizing, but not sure where to start?
Here Are Some Basics To Get You Going
First off, you need to understand “vaporizing”. Just the term can sound intimidating, simply put you are heating the plant matter or oil to a point in which the active ingredients are released but below the temperature of combustion (burning). No burning means no smoke, no smoke means greatly reduced tars and carcinogens, upwards of 90% fewer tars and carcinogens! Now the right temperature to vape is personal preference, the lower the temp the healthier it is. I recommend starting at 300 degrees f and working your way up, 350 seems to be a good neutral temp and 390-400 is nearing the point of combustion (burning).
Now that you have a better understanding about what vaporizing actually is, its time to start shopping for the right vaporizer for you. One thing to consider is do you want a home unit or do you prefer vaping on the go. Home units are usally more reliable and produce a better vapor but are confined by the cord and plug. Portable units are handy when you are out and about but run on batteries, (with the exception of the iolite which runs on butane) and typically don’t produce quite as high quality vapor as a home unit. Now if you are mainly concerned with the beneficial active ingredients and not that satisfying vapor hit, then a portable unit would be a good choice.
If you decide to go with a home unit like a volcano or a vapor tower the one main difference is units like the volcano fill vapor balloons, while hot box units such as the vapor tower are designed to be used with a vapor whip. The vapor whip is where you put your blend of choice and inhale manually, while the balloon style vaporizers fill up vapor balloons that after being filled with vapor you inhale.
Not all vaporizers are created equal, there are a lot of company’s out there trying to capitalize on the fact that you are trying to be healthy. Stay away from so called “cheap vaporizers”, the money you save is not worth a disappointing vaporizing experience. And many are produced with materials that although get hot, are not necessarily made for human consumption or inhalation. So,whether you buy from us or get a vape elsewhere just remember “buyer beware “and do your homework.
Happy Vaporizing !
